2012 highlights
- Over 150,000 people registered for the 2012 Health Challenge, for a total of more than 850,000 participants since 2005.
- Of this number, there were:
- Over 56,000 participants registered as a family.
- Nearly 9,000 participants registered as a team.
- Solo participants represented 58% of the registrations. Families made up 36% of the registrations whereas teams accounted for 6%.
- The brand new HealthChallenge.ca website was launched and the Facebook page enjoyed significant growth of over 50% compared to 2011, reaching a total of over 15,000 fans.
- 254 municipalities and local communities promoted the Health Challenge among their families and citizens in addition to providing them with support to help them meet the challenge successfully. The number of participating municipalities and local communities increased by over 40% compared to 2011.
- Over 600 organizations and workplaces promoted the Health Challenge among their employees.
